Exam Requirements	Master Thesis (4 months)
Requirements for Participation	Excellent knowledge of scientific work is required from the seminar "Designing and publishing empirical research" in the first semester.
Relation to other Modules in the Course	All modules and courses in the IFM program build on one another in the course of the study, therefore this module is related to most preceding modules. In order to successfully participate in subsequent lectures, the knowledge and skills of preceding as well as parallel lectures of all financial areas are necessary. This interdisciplinary and holistic approach aims to prepare students to navigate the increasing complexity of the finance sector and develop appropriate decision-making skills. For the master thesis especially knowledge from the seminar "Designing and publishing empirical research" is helpful.
Teaching Forms	Project

Students shall be able to do the following:

Convincingly develop research questions, hypotheses and research design
Design qualified, well-structured research and evaluation of scientific literature
Use articles from international journals as well as practical information from companies
Independently produce a demanding scientific paper
Convincingly present approach and work results in the colloquium with the professor

Exchange information with representatives of different academic and non-academic fields of activity on alternative, theoretically justifiable problem solutions

Include those involved in tasks in a goal-oriented manner, taking into account the respective group situation

Recognize potential for conflict in cooperation with others and reflect on them against the background of cross-situation conditions

Ensure the implementation of situation-appropriate solution processes through constructive, conceptual action
