Visit to Empacadora San Francisco
The trip began in Aguascalientes with a visit to Empacadora San Francisco. Part-time lecturer Dennis Köhler and Prof. Dr. Iris Ramme met the company’s CEO together with Dr. Marco Rivera and received in-depth insights into the business. Students from Universidad Panamericana and Nürtingen-Geislingen University are currently working on the same project: how to improve distribution in Mexico and how the company could successfully enter the German market. Exchange With Mexican Students
Both Iris and Dennis attended Dr. Marco Rivera’s class, where the Mexican students presented their findings. Their suggestions for the company were very well received. The session was recorded so that the German students could follow along without having to attend late at night. (See photo: Mexican students presenting their results)
Academic Workshops and Lectures
On the following day, the German guests attended a workshop for PhD students, taught by a visiting German professor who shared advice on publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Iris Ramme served as a jury member, giving feedback on the students’ research projects. (See photo: PhD award presentation)
Dennis Köhler also gave a lecture in International Business, sharing practical insights from his professional experience with WMF and Gardena—two brands well known in Mexico. (See photo: Lecture by Dennis Köhler)
Cultural and Corporate Insights
Beyond the academic program, the hosts offered impressions of Aguascalientes, the historic city of Zacatecas, and arranged a visit to Leche San Marcos, a local dairy company. (See photo: Visit at Leche San Marcos)
Continuing the Collaboration
This visit marks the next step in our ongoing collaboration within the International Marketing Project class. The trip to Mexico built directly on the foundation laid during Dr. Marco Rivera’s stay at NGU in October 2025, strengthening both, the academic exchange and the joint real-life project.
