Over the summer the libraries in Nürtingen will be closed due to the relocation of the central library to the new information centre at Campus Innenstadt.

After that, the new "library landscape" will look as follows:

  • The information centre includes the central library and cover the areas economics and agricultural sciences (scheduled opening: Oct 7th)
  • Braike library remains at Campus Braike for the students of FUGT (including art therapies), scheduled re-opening: Oct 1st)
  • Hauber library will be closed down permanently. The books will be relocated to either the information centre or Braike library depending on their content.

Unfortunately there will be some restrictions concerning opening hours and the access to literature during the time of relocation:

  • Interlibrary loan is no longer possible in Nürtingen until the opening of the information center.
  • From Aug 8th until the opening of the information centre you can no longer order books from Geislingen library to Nürtingen library and vice versa.
  • In Nürtingen the due dates for the books will be adjusted to the opening of the information centre.
  • Starting Jul 19th it will be possible to borrow reference books from Nürtingen over the summer until the opening of the information centre.
  • Braike library will be closed from  Aug 19th until approximately Oct 7th.
  • Hauber library will be closed down permanently at Jul 29 th.
  • Geislingen library will remain open as usual.
  • Our E-Books, E-Journals and databases will remain accessible during this time.
