Preparation for the Start of the Semester

How does the semester continue?

When will the semester finally start? You are probably wondering what the summer semester will be like. The Rector’s Office assumes that lectures at NGU will start again from April 20, 2020. Until then, professors and lecturers are asked to provide students with study contents and preparatory teaching input where possible. After April 20, 2020, there will be about fourteen weeks left to finish the semester. This provides sufficient time to make up for the classroom lectures that are currently not feasible.

Unfortunately, it is currently still unclear whether teaching can take place in classroom lectures after April 20, 2020. Under certain circumstances, teaching may also be offered completely or partially in digital formats. In this case, the Prorector for Studies and Teaching is working with his task force on alternative learning formats so that we can still bring the semester to a successful conclusion for everyone. The task force will develop and offer assistance, instructions, technical tools and other forms of support. When and where all this will be available is still to be announced.
