Dr. Anna Plyushteva is an urban and transport geographer focusing on public transport, night-time work, and commuting. In 2016 she completed her PhD (University College London) on the expansion of the metro network in Sofia, Bulgaria, and its impact on work commuting. Following her PhD, she worked at the Transport Studies Unit, University of Oxford. Currently she is a Marie Curie l Research Fellow at Cosmopolis Centre for Urban Research, Vrije University of Brussels. She is interested in critical and mixed-method approaches to urban mobility, and in perspectives which bring together affordability and sustainability concerns around transport.
