Examination period in summer semester 2020

Information on the summer semester 2020, examination period, break during Pfingsten, bridge days and regulations for the practical semester.

The current schedule for the summer semester has been coordinated by the Rectorate with the Deans. Due to the current political situation, the HfWU will start lecturing on 20 April, but initially only with distance learning courses. This semester, the lecture period is 14 weeks and ends on 24 July. The subsequent three-week examination period will therefore last until August 14. Both the bridge days and the break during Pfingsten are used for teaching. Should there be any changes, we will inform you immediately.

Furthermore, we have now adopted supplementary regulations regarding the practical study semester in the summer semester 2020. These relate in particular to cases in which the internship was interrupted, suspended, carried out in the home office or affected by short-time work. Thus, for example, the practice time in the home office can be fully recognised as regular practice time, provided that the practice office carries out or has instructed home office work. If you are unable to complete the required days of attendance by the end of the practical semester, an extended accumulation of practical days for up to one year can be granted upon application by the student. In addition, students can also withdraw from the practical semester if they are unable to start the practical semester. Further information is available from your practice representative:
