Identification / Documents:

• passport (with or without the entry visa)
• 2 copies of passport
• your identity card for EU citizens valid for the entire period of your stay in Germany
• one biometric passport photographs
• notification of admission (Zulassungsbescheid)
• certificate of health insurance (EU citizens only need to bring along the EHIC card or E128 /E111 form)
• all students from non-European countries will have to apply for a residence permit. For that you need to present proof of sufficient financial resources (Finanzierungsnachweis). You can bring that Finanzierungsnachweis in the form of a bank statement or a written statement from your parents that they will pay for all the costs during your stay in Nuertingen. For non-EU students this latter statement (Verpflichtungserklaerung) has to be confirmed by the local authorities (embassy or consulate) in their home country. You will find a sample of this Verpflichtungserklärung under-mentioned.
• if possible international driving licence or a German translation of your driving licence
• copy of birth certificate
• vaccination card

Money:

• certificate of scholarship if you receive a scholarship from your university
• credit card, traveller's cheques
• enough cash - especially in the first few days and weeks you'll have numerous expenses

If you have been awarded a scholarship exceeding 600 € per month you won't need extra proof of financial resources. In this case bring the original certificate with you.
