Nürtingen-Geislingen University of perfectly located for travelling. If you travel two hours to the south you will be a the shores of the Lake of Constance, one of Europe's largest lakes, bordering Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Just two hours to the east, visitors can enjoy Munich, Bavaria's famous capital. Two hours to the west, Straßburg, France's border city to Germany, is the palce to be.

You can also find a rich cultural environment: the famous ballet, concert halls, the Opera House and several art shows in Stuttgart as well as a wide choice of cultural distractions in the nearby town of Ulm, Tuebingen, Reutlingen and Esslingen.


Stuttgart with its around 600.000 citizens is the capital of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The city represents the center of one of the economically strongest regions of Germany. Stuttgart offers a wide variety in business, cultural and sports life. It is the home of some of the world´s most famous companies in the automotive and technology industry, for example Daimler, Porsche and Bosch.

In cultural life, Stuttgart is well-known for its opera and ballett houses as well as for its quality in music and theatre. The city is surrounded by vineyards and forests, one of the reasons why Stuttgart is so popular among tourists and citizens. The city of Tübingen is situated around 40 kilometres south of Stuttgart. Tübingen is internationally renowned for its university and has a a very high reputation in academic research. Around 20.000 students study at Tübingen University. Therefore, city life iin Tübingen with its around 85.000 citizens is highly dominated by an attractive, interdisciplinar and young student scene. Furthermore, Tübingen has a lot more to offer. The Neckar River for recreation and, of course, its famous and picturesque Old Town.


The city of Ulm lies in western direction to Nürtingen, and like Tübingen, also is a city with student tradition and internationally recognized academic research. Ulm has around 120.000 citizens and is 90 kilometres away from Baden-Württemberg´s capital, Stuttgart. This time, unlike Stuttgart, Tübingen and Nürtingen, it is not the Neckar River that shapes the city, but the famous Donau River. Ulm is also known for its cathedral, the famous gothic "Münster", and for its famous "son" Albert Einstein, born in Ulm in 1879.
