Erasmus

Erasmus is the higher education section of a European Community action program. Nuertingen-Geislingen University has been involved in the program for many years.

Erasmus is an exchange program. Nuertingen-Geislingen University agrees to receive a yearly quota of students and teaching staff from each partner institution (incoming). This quota matches the number of places reserved for NGU students and teaching staff at the partner institution (outgoing).

Students who take part in the program are sent by their home university and do not pay fees to the receiving institution. For one semester or one year, they follow a program of study deemed equivalent to that of their home university. The marks obtained during their Erasmus period of study count towards their degree at the home university.

Most partner institutions offer study programs in English, some offer mainly courses in the national language.
